Catching the warning signs before they become emergencies.

RhealSense is developing a wearable patch and companion app that continuously monitor a new mother's vital signs after birth. We flag the subtle changes that precede postpartum hemorrhage, so help can arrive in time.

What we're building

A continuous, wearable monitor for the most fragile hours after birth.

Postpartum hemorrhage escalates quickly and is often noticed too late, especially once mothers leave the hospital. RhealSense focuses on the physiological signals that change first.

01

Continuous monitoring

A small adhesive patch tracks heart rate and blood-oxygen saturation in real time, throughout the critical postpartum window. Not just at vitals checks.

02

Early detection

Subtle shifts in HR and SpO₂ appear before visible symptoms. Catching them buys time to seek care or escalate to a clinician.

03

Right on your phone

The companion app shows live readings and trends at home. Mothers and caregivers stay informed, without a tangle of hospital wires.

How it works

A soft patch on the skin. A clear view on the phone.

The patch uses medical-grade pulse oximetry to read heart rate and blood-oxygen saturation continuously. Light passes through the skin and the device measures how it changes with each heartbeat.

Readings stream to the RhealSense companion app on a phone, where mothers and family can see trends at a glance. The patch is small, comfortable, and designed to be worn through everyday routines at home.

Our approach

From the patch to peace of mind, in four steps.

i.

Wear

A soft, adhesive patch sits comfortably on the skin and reads vitals continuously through the postpartum window.

ii.

Sense

Medical-grade pulse oximetry captures heart rate and blood-oxygen saturation many times per second.

iii.

Detect

The companion app watches for the physiological shifts that often precede severe hemorrhage.

iv.

Alert

If something looks off, the app raises the alarm right away. Time matters, and we don't want to waste it.
